Lamborghini Silhouette was presented at the 1976 Geneva Auto Show as an evolution of the Urraco. Lamborghini Silhouette was a two-door, two-seat, mid-engined, rear-wheel drive sports car. With the Targa roof, the Silhouette proposed an alternative open version with the intention of winning over the difficult United States market.
Lamborghini Silhouette had a 3.0-litre V8 engine with four overhead camshafts. The engine was mounted transversely behind the driver. It produced 250 hp and allowed maximum speed of 260 km/h.
After two prototypes, only 53 Lamborghini Silhouettes were produced, the last one being used and tested as a prototype for the Lamborghini Jalpa.
