Alfa Romeo have opened its historical museum in Arese, Milan, Italy to the public. The Museo storico Alfa Romeo is home to the most significant pieces in Alfa Romeo’s historic collection. The museum’s layout emphasises the identifying features that belong to the Alfa Romeo DNA.
Mobilia is a automobile and road museum located in Kangasala, near city of Tampere in Finland. The theme of the main exhibition changes yearly. In 2012 the main exhibition was focused on a history of passenger cars in Finland. It featured most popular cars from different decades. Perhaps more interesting are the other exhibitions called Mobilia Classics and the Rally Hall of Fame. The Mobilia Classics features 26 classic cars of different ages. The cars on display are changed from time to time. The Rally Hall of Fame exhibits classic rally cars and their famous drivers. The old rally cars are always interesting to see, even though you have admire them behind the glass. Mobilia museum is open around the year.
Wanhat Wehkeet (Old Machines) is a small car museum in Karstula, Finland. At Wanhat Wehkeet there are around 100 vehicles on display from different ages. In addition to cars, there are also motorcycles, bicycles and as the name suggests, also lots of other old machines. Some of the cars are in good condition, while some are still waiting for a little restoration. Within museum there is a coffee shop and right next to the museum there is also a small hotel. Wanhat Wehkeet car museum is open in the summer, from the beginning of June to the end of August.
Vehoniemen Automuseo (Vehoniemi Car Museum) is located at a beautiful place on a Vehoniemi Ridge in Kangasala, close to city of Tampere in Finland. Vehoniemen Automuseo displays around 50 vehicles, including cars and motorcyles, and other car related material, like old car parts. Most of the vehicles are in excellent condition. The vehicles on display are changed almost constantly, so there should be something new to see on your every visit. Within the museum there is a coffee shop, and there is also a wide collection of model cars for sale, so you can easily find a nice souvenir. Next to the museum there is a wooden viewing tower offering a beautiful view from the Vehoniemi Ridge.
Vaasan Auto- ja Moottorimuseo (Vaasa Car and Motor Museum) is located in the city of Vaasa, in Finland. The museum has a collection of cars, engines, motorcycles and bicycles from different ages. Nice addition to the American, Asian and European cars, there are also some East European cars on display. The museum also has some other vehicles, like old fire truck, and machines like radios present. Vaasan Auto – ja Moottorimuseo is located in an old factory building and is open in the summer, from the beginning of May to the end of September.
Espoon Automuseo (The Espoo Car Museum) is one of the oldest car museums in Finland. The old cowhouse have been turned into a museum that displays around 100 cars and close to 50 motorcycles and mopeds. The American cars have the biggest stage, but there are also many European models and also some Russian and East European cars present. Oldest cars are from the beginning of the 1900’s and the latest model are from 1960’s and 1970’s. In addition to the cars and motorcycles, there are also a lots of other machines and material from the same time period, like old sewing machines.
