Road Test: 2012 Audi RS 5 Coupe

The top-of-the-line Audi A5, the RS 5 clearly differs from the rest of the A5 models with its more muscular exterior. The body has been widened with flared wheel arches and side sill rims. The car also sits 20 millimetres closer to the ground than the standard A5. The sportier front bumper has large air intakes in the place of the fog lights. The single frame radiator grille is in high-gloss anthracite with an aluminium-look surround. Also the mirror housings have a matt aluminium look. At the rear, the diffuser and two oval exhaust outlets provide a powerful look. A tailgate spoiler extends automatically at a speed of 120 km/h and retracts when the speed drops to 80 km/h. Driver can also activate the rear spoiler with a press of a button. The 19-inch, forged alloy wheels are shod with 265/35-series tires.
