Completely new addition is the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, and also the Hockenheim circuit returns to the calendar. The game looks good, sounds great and the changing weather conditions bring nice variation to the racing weekend. The great handling makes the F1 car enjoyable to drive, and without any driving aids, it can also be quite challenging.

The project, which goes by the internal code number of 663, constitutes the Scuderia’s interpretation of the technical and sporting regulations that apply this year: the main changes when compared to 2011 concern the height of the front section of the chassis, the position of the exhaust pipes and the mapping for the electronic engine management. Codemasters have updated their official Formula One racing game for 2011. This new game has all the drivers, teams and circuits of the 2011 FIA Formula One Championship. The update isn’t just about the new names, but the 2011 season brought along some changes to the rules also. New features for the driver include the DRS (Drag Reduction System), which enables driver to adjust the rear wing of the car to increase the top speed. The KERS system is also back in the F1. KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) recovers kinetic energy while braking and gives a power boost when needed. A new range of tyre damages have also been simulated in the game.
