Citroën Racing announced its drivers for the 2014 WRC

Citroën Racing announced its line-up for the 2014 World Rally Championship. Kris Meeke/Paul Nagle and Mads Østberg/Jonas Andersson will be the Citroën Total Abu Dhabi World Rally Team’s driver/co-driver pairings in the DS3 WRC next season.

Citroen C-Elysée will race in the 2014 WTCC

Citroen revealed its new racing car for the World Touring Car Championship. In the 2014 WTCC Sebastien Loeb will be driving the new Citroen C-Elysée WTCC, which will be the very first vehicle to be designed in accordance with the new regulations, currently being prepared by the FIA for the category next year.

Citroen joins WTCC in 2014

After first mentioning that it was considering taking part in the FIA World Touring Car Championship (FIA WTCC) at the opening of last year’s Paris Motor Show , Citroen now confirms it will be joining the championship in 2014. Holder of five Cross Country Rally World Cups and eight World Rally Championship Manufacturers’ titles , Citroen will therefore be entering an international track racing championship for the first time. This will be a new challenge both for Citroen Racing and for Sebastien Loeb, who will be driving one of the cars entered in the championship.

Citroen DS4 Racing Concept

Making its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, the Citroen DS4 Racing Concept features “100% Racing” attributes. The chassis is 35 mm lower than the regular model and track is 55 mm wider at the front and 75 mm wider at the back. The concept car also sports an air diffuser, a front bumper panel, a lower-body belt line and wing extensions. Citroën Racing has tweaked the 1.6-litre turbo engine to develop 256 bhp, or 160 bhp per litre – a record for a series-production car. This spectacular performance comes hand in hand with controlled CO2 emissions of 155 g/km.

Road Test: 2011 Citroen DS3 Racing

We have been waiting for a long time for Citroen to build a sportier model, that would somehow make use Citroen’s success in the World Rally Championship. There have been some Citroen C4 special models named after Sebastian Loeb, but nothing that would have made our heart beat any faster. The DS3 was the first car for a long time from citroen that got us interested. DS3 offered design and personal styling that Citroen is known for. However, otherwise DS3 was basically C3. Now Citroen Racing have taken the DS3 and upgraded its performance to a whole new level. Unfortunately this new Citroen DS3 Racing is only available as a limited edition.
