The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06’s LT4 supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine is SAE-certified at 650 horsepower (485 kW) at 6,400 rpm and 650 lb-ft of torque (881 Nm) at 3,600 rpm, making the all-new Z06 is the most powerful production car ever from General Motors and one of a few production cars available in the United States that delivers more than 600 horsepower.
Production of the 2014 Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition Convertible is limited to 550 cars. They will all be top-of-the-line 3LT models, all in Lime Rock Green exterior and Brownstone suede interior. These vehicles also include suede-wrapped interior trim, carbon fiber accents, variable tuned performance exhaust system, Z51 Performance Package and Magnetic Selective Ride Control.
Corvette Stingray Coupe Pacific concept is influenced by West Coast culture. The high-performance hue is complemented by a carbon fiber hood and a visible carbon-fiber weave on the removable roof panel, as well as a satin-black front splitter and rocker extensions. This car is a C6 Z06 Chevrolet Corvette which has been modified with Quanta Hybrid Performance’s integrated hybrid technology. The combination of the 505hp LS7 Chevrolet power plant and the Quanta Hybrid Performance hybrid electric technology results in over 1500 lb-ft of torque and more than 770 peak horsepower, which puts the acceleration of the QHP770 in supercar territory.
Chevrolet began shipping the all-new 2014 Corvette Stingray Coupe to dealers. Bowling Green Assembly has produced approximately 1,000 Corvette Stingrays for customer deliveries. Most of these vehicles are expected to be delivered to dealers within the next few weeks. To expedite delivery, vehicles may be shipped out of build sequence, which is a normal part of any new vehicle launch.
The 2014 Corvette Stingray’s all-new LT1 6.2-litre V8 engine is SAE-certified at 460 horsepower (343 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque (630 Nm) at 4,600 rpm, with the available performance exhaust system. With the standard exhaust, the numbers are 455 horsepower (339 kW) and 460 lb-ft (624 Nm). They are the highest standard power ratings ever for the Corvette, delivered with efficiency that is expected to exceed 26 mpg on the highway.
The 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will serve as the 2013 Indianapolis 500 Pace Car. Decked out in Laguna Blue Tintcoat with official Indianapolis 500 graphics on the doors, the Corvette Stingray Pace Car differs from production models with only track-mandated safety features and strobe lights. No powertrain upgrades are required to run in front of the IndyCar pack, thanks to its all-new 6.2L LT1 engine, which features advanced technologies including direct fuel injection, continuously variable valve timing and Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation). They help produce an estimated 450 horsepower more efficiently. The Corvette Pace Car features the track-capable Z51 package.
