The Fiat 500C is a nice and comfortable little car with an open top. Perfect for daily driving and urban cruising. It’s evil twin, the Abarth 500C however, is something completely different. The Abarth version with scorpion badges looks much more fierce and intense, even when standing still. Luckily, our model Sini was brave enough to participate in a photoshoot with this scorpion cabrio. After a little makeover by our styling team, Sini and Abarth made a great pair.
Joining the Fiat 500 Abarth, the Fiat 500C Abarth will be available to North American customers in the first-quarter of 2013. To improve aerodynamics and the necessary engine compartment space for the 1.4-liter MultiAir Turbo engine, the Fiat 500c Abarth’s features a more pronounced front fascia. For additional air intake, the signature “Abarth” shield floats on a finned surface and a larger intake below consists of three inlets with broader openings than the Fiat 500c. For a more aggressive look, twin “nostrils” are precisely positioned on the front fascia to maximize airflow in and out of the two engine intercoolers.

Tuned with the Esseesse kit, the 1368cc T-Jet engine produces now 160 horsepower and 230 Newton metres of torque. The new Abarth 695 Maserati Edition, limited to 499 cars, will debut at the 2012 Mille Miglia. Designed for track racing, the Abarth 695 “Assetto Corse” conceptually depicts the continuity of the historic 695 brand that came into being in 2009 with the 695 Tributo Ferrari. The car also appears as the evolution of the Abarth 500 “Assetto Corse”, the “small and mean” protagonist of huge successes during the past three years of single-make trophies. The Abarth 695 “Assetto Corse” is characterised by an aggressive front decorated with a badge bearing the Abarth logo and, underneath, a broader bumper complete with aerodynamic spoiler and screen-printed grilles instead of the plastic masks of the standard version. Under the bonnet, fitted out with the classic bonnet clips in true racing style, we find the 1368cc turbocharged engine that delivers 205 horsepower.
